Hi :)

Hello lovelies!!! Late again and not enough excuses can make up from my absence from this blog!! I have been back in the UK catching up with family life and adjusting from living in dorms! I can now say that I am fully settled and my days consist of working at my mom's sweet shop and other little projects.

I have wanted to post outfit pictures for a long time and finally got someone to take my picture the other day (thanks girl!). The weather in the UK has been on and off but mostly fine-Summer has officially started and am so excited :)

Final exams over, hello Summer

Hello!! So I haven't updated this blog since Spring break and this is because I have been loaded with assignments and  exams but school just finished and I will be heading back to the U.K very soon! I am definitely going to miss America, my lovely room-mate and all the friends I have made over here-it's been a great experience.

I never thought that I would be this attached *sob*

As I say goodbye to America, I welcome the Summer season with open arms and since I have extra time, expect to get more blog posts on a more frequent basis!!

Spring Break Miami Beach :)

Hello lovelies! I have mentioned in the past that I was desperately waiting for spring to come but where I am currently staying extreme whether like this is the norm:

I have say that there has been some changes in the weather since December last year which is good. I am more than desperate for some heat so I decided to go down to the west coast for Spring break and this I don't regret one bit.

We left on the 11th and came back on the 19th of March to be welcomed with a bit more snow. This is besides the point though. I wanted to share with you the best, most relaxing 8 days I have experienced this year.

Spring I can smell you :)

Okay, I am not trying to jinx but the whether has been phenomenal the past few days so much so that I came out without a coat! I am going to enjoy it while it lasts and as the snow gradually melts I am preparing little outfits in my head for spring :)

The check-list goes as follows:

1) Leopard print ballet flats -check

2)tan brogues-double check

3)mustard jeans (or anything mustard)-check

When all the snow has melted this outfit would be perfect. I used the burgundy velvet jacket as a statement piece and paired it up with a printed scarf in contrast with the nude colours thus making the colour 'pop'. I am loving rich colours for this season such as deep maroons and purples. Pairing them with classic nude spring colours and black keeps the outfit true to the season but also keeps it very sophisticated and classy.

I hope this inspires the reader. (the make up was inspired by stunning supermodel Chanel Iman )

The short look

When I went back home for the Christmas holidays I had the impression that a short looking style would be good and then I thought maybe going curly was the way to go but in the end I decided to get a short, pixie look

Hair has always been an issue to me and I'm sure the same applies to other people with hair that becomes a challenge to keep up with if you A) Don't know how to take keep up with it
B) You don't want to keep up with it.

I am however glad that nowadays a person's hair can be an accessory like fashion or even art and I believe the negative connotations that used to surround this issue are now a thing of the past. For instance I would like to believe that words like 'ginger' and 'bimbo' can not be definitive of a person's character because one thing about hair is that you're not stuck with it, you are able to change it like a new bag or shoes.

If I was to rock an afro some might think its edgy, risky, retro and some might find it silly.

Being able to carry off that look with confidence is the thing that just makes that edgy, risky, retro, sillyooking afro...beautiful

and just plain original because its resembling you so much but still not to the point of defining you because what really defines all of us is too awesome to describe and too real to touch (I believe so).

Welcome 2011

This year started off on a good note. To start off with I have put a new post on this blog which is something that I was not very consistent with last year. This year will be different, hopefully. I am in my last semester on my study abroad in America which is also exciting and in order to remember my time here I will be keeping memories through the power of blogging and this includes a showcase of not only my experiences here but also my inspirations on lifestyle:)
